Follow Erskine Falls Road from Lorne, signage is very clear all the way – Get Directions
The car park at the falls is not big and gets very busy. There is very limited parking for longer vehicles and road down is very steep, not ideal for towing. If you are towing a caravan and don’t mind a 4 km walk each way, there is some parking at the Blanket Leaf picnic area that could possibly be used.
The steps are quite steep down to the viewing areas and get slippery when wet.
Apart from that, it’s a great spot!
Lemonade Creek Cottages are lovely with rustic cabins and easy access to the 4 km walk to the falls.
Blanket Leaf Picnic Area – on the way
An ideal spot to stop for a picnic in the forest, the Blanket Leaf Picnic area has fire pits, toilets and walking tracks to Erskine Falls ( 4 km/steep ) and Cora Lynn Cascades ( 2 km ).
No camping or overnight stays allowed.
If you prefer not to drive to the falls and like the idea of a wonderful day hike… walk the 15 km return hike following the Erskine River to the falls from Lorne.
